Ecological appraisal and biodiversity enhancement proposals for this memorial park. Working with local friends group to ensure local involvement in scheme. Biodiversity enhancement opportunities included management strategy for the park to enable in house team and local friends group to carry project forward. Proposals for enhancement of riverbank and flood plain habitats, reducing the use of herbicides, protecting veteran trees, maintain or recover population of nationally rare and scarce species, encourage survey and monitoring of initiatives to support these works.
